THE GHOST IN MY ROOM

The ghost in my room

is a mischievous pest.

He strikes every night

when I’m trying to rest.

He slips through the cracks

and he rattles the floor.

He flickers the lights.

Then he starts to explore.

He jumps on my mattress

and bounces my head.

Then tickles my feet

and scoots under the bed.

He causes the windows

to quiver and quake.

He makes spooky noises

that keep me awake.

But frankly, his antics

don’t fill me with fright.

For you see – his boo

is much worse than his bite.
