AS I WAS SPRINTING HOME TODAY

As I was sprinting home today

a gang of thugs appeared.

They roughed me up.  They scratched my face.

And for my life I feared.

They tackled me and piled on.

They left me feeling dazed.

They pulled my hair.  They ripped my clothes.

I tell you, they were crazed.

But as the rowdy group withdrew,

I knew it was in fun.

My baseball team had won its game –

I scored the winning run.
