Hi! I'm Paul Orshoski, an educator, children’s author and poet. I'm glad you stopped by! I am a former school teacher, coach and administrator living in Sandusky, Ohio.  I write witty, humorous, rhyming children’s poetry.

I have been fortunate to have thirteen children’s books published by Treasure Bay BooksWhere is My Frog?, Bugs on the BusAnt in Her Pants, I Do Not Like Greens!, Robot Man, Talent Night, Sports Dream, Dad Does It All and Who Took the Cookbook?.  All of these books are part of Treasure Bay’s “We Read Phonics” series.  The books are designed to make it easy for parents to help their children improve phonics skills and read a decodable story.  Each book combines a fun story with simple games for phonics and sight words.

Three of my “We Read Phonics” books, Where is My Frog?, Robot Man and Sports Dream, were selected as Mom’s Choice Awards Gold Honor winners in 2011.

Treasure Bay Books also publishes a “We Both Read” series.  I have four books in that series entitled, My Sitter Is a T-Rex!, The Mouse in My House , The Mouse in My House / Un raton en mi casa and The Ant and The Pancake.

Some of my poems have appeared in the following poetry anthologies from Running PressMy Teacher's in Detention, Dinner with Dracula, I've Been Burping in the Classroom, I Hope I Don't Strike Out, and What I Did on My Summer Vacation.  I have also had poems published in the following magazines:  Hopscotch For Girls, Fun For Kidz, Boys’ Quest, Scholastic Action, and The School Administrator.

While you’re here, please check out my writing credits page.  It includes the names of all the books and poems I have written, as well as the anthologies, magazines, and web sites where my poems have appeared.  Also, please read some of the poems I have written and check out the books page if you are interested in purchasing any of my books or the anthologies that my poems appear in.

Whenever possible, I enjoy making kids giggle during school visits by enthusiastically performing my poems in small or large group settings wherever I am asked to present.

Enjoy!  And while you're here, please drop me an email!  I'd love to hear from you!
